The Landshut Castle Foundation is a foundation under private law in the meaning of Art. 80 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code. The Foundation is intended to care for the Landshut moated castle and its surroundings and to make it accessible to the public.
The domain of Landshut houses a Museum for Living Culture of the 17th century in the castle, as well as the Swiss Museum of Wildlife and Hunting, which also comprise of affiliated private collections.
Landshut is furthermore the quarters of the Swiss Museum of Wildlife and Hunting Society, Landshut Castle and the Swiss Hunting Library. In addition, one of its buildings houses the Landshut Wildlife Station Foundation.

Highway A1 from Bern: Exit Kirchberg (No. 39), street towards Solothurn, in the first roundabout towards Bätterkinden, Utzenstorf, follow tourist signposts.
Highway A1 from Basel/Zürich: Exit Kriegstetten (No. 40), towards Solothurn, via Gerlafingen, in the first roundabout towards Burgdorf, Wiler to Utzenstorf, follow tourist signposts.
A large parking for visitors to the park and museum as well as the wildlife station is located at the southern entrance to the park. Bicycles are to be parked in the designated parking spaces. Bicycles are not allowed in the park.

A walk through the Landshut Castle Park is an experience in every season. Visitors interested in botany will find signs with German names, botanical names and indications of origin on trees and large shrubs.
Your dog is also very welcome on a leash. At the parking lot and at the wildlife station there are Robidog boxes and a water bowl is available in the castle courtyard.
For a well-deserved break, you can have a picnic on the barbecue area, which is designed for hikers and visitors, directly behind the castle on the river Emme (approx. 10 minutes on foot). Picnics and games are not permitted in the park itself (please note the information boards at the park entrances).
